• Intro
Yesterday was the final day for the cluex.org 1on1 cup. Crozzie who managed to stay in the winnerbraket had to face burnix who sent me to the loserbraket on Monday already. After I have been eliminated by a very solid playing Frippi in the loserbraket (therefore sharing the 5th place with Riz now) burnix was therefore sent to the loserbraket who then had to face melkir. Melkir eliminated Riz and Frippi on his way to the loserbraket final.
Melkir was able to beat burnix 2:1 which burnix showing of amazing map dominance on ironic, being beaten on lea and squader.

The Final
Crozzie had to play melkir again. In the winnerbraket crozzie already beat him 3:0 but after eliminating all those players in the loserbraket melkir was coming back with a revenge. And we got to see an amazing match!
Crozzies pick Reverse was played first. He was showing off his mapknowledge keeping melir low very often also displaying a very spread use of weapons. Although having the higher ping, his lightning gun shots were placed well and kept melir always at distance.
The second map was Lea, picked by melir. We have seen him destroy burnix with a lot of minigun play. Melir started of with 2 frags very early, and crozzie stayed passive for a short while just to come back with a rampage. Crozzie managed to keep melir at distance again and although the hitscan should have been dominant here, we still saw a lot of close fights with rockets, flack and combos involved. Crossie was able to take that map in what I think was one of the closest maps i have seen in a while, at least damage wise.

The third map was crozzies pick again, and it was squader. After having won 2 maps already Crozzie was in the far better position, however he was unable to the break the maplock of melir and melir seemed very comfortable on the map. We have seen already against burnix, that melir was very well aware of the map schematics and therefore able to quickly change the position on the map to get behind crossie and get a big lead resulting in a clear win.

Now after that setback Crozzie needed to play melir on melirs choice. Roughinery is a map Crozzie was very strong on a few years ago, and what we saw there left me speechless most of the time. They were throwing punches at each other in such a quick succession that I could not even finish my sentence before another kill was already made. For 10 minutes we saw a back and forth and only in the last few minutes melir was able to secure his 2nd win allowing him to stay in the final.

Crozzies next map was Ironic. We have seen burnix beat melir very clearly on this map, but would crossie be able to pull that off as well? The game shows that damage wise he wasn't. Crozzie however managed to stay in the lead till the end and if you look at the damage again, they were throwing everything they had at each other and spectators were doubting this was a 4th division final. Crossie was winning this map and therefore finished the cup as the winner.

    Congratulations Crozzie!
